Macrobiotics is a well-founded nutritional therapy developed by studying and improving upon sucessful traditional diets among populations that enjoyed long lifespans and low rates of chronic disease. Macrobiotics has developed clear patterns and ratios for designing complete meals that improve health while optimizing energy and efficient use of calories. We believe Macrobiotics has not been more successful in the western world because it is generally used to create dishes that would appeal more to an eastern palate. We use the same core Macrobiotic principles to create and modify dishes taken from and inspired by our rich cultural heritage of vastly different world cuisines, but specifically keeping a western palate in mind.
